Your Right to Data Deletion
At DMHQ, we respect your right to privacy and control over your personal data. You can request the deletion of your personal information at any time.
When you request data deletion, we will remove all of your personal information from our systems, including:
- Your account information (email, name, profile)
- Connected Instagram account data
- Instagram message content and conversation data
- Deal and contact management data (tags, notes, pipelines)
- Usage analytics tied to your account
- All associated metadata
How to Request Data Deletion
To request deletion of your personal data, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Send a Deletion Request Email
Send an email to privacy@dmhq.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"
Step 2: Include Required Information
In your email, please include:
- Account Email: The email address you used to sign up for DMHQ
- Instagram Username: The Instagram account(s) you connected (if applicable)
- Reason (Optional): Help us improve by telling us why you're deleting your data
Step 3: Verification
We will verify your identity to ensure the security of your data. You may receive a verification email at your registered email address.
Step 4: Confirmation
Once processed, you will receive a confirmation email within 30 days confirming that your data has been deleted.
Important: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure to export any data you want to keep before requesting deletion.
What Happens After Deletion?
- Your account will be immediately deactivated and you will no longer be able to log in
- All personal data will be permanently deleted from our active systems within 30 days
- Your Instagram account will be automatically disconnected from DMHQ
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained for business purposes (this data cannot be linked back to you)
- Some data may be retained for legal compliance purposes as required by law (e.g., payment records for tax purposes)
Data Retention for Legal Compliance
Please note that certain information may be retained for legal compliance or legitimate business purposes:
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes
- Legal compliance data: Retained as required by applicable laws and regulations
- Backup systems: Data may persist in backup systems for up to 90 days before being permanently purged
